Privacy policy
Wolfsbane Apps · Effective 27 October 2026
This policy covers every app and tool published by Wolfsbane Apps, the software part of Wolfsbane Co., a company registered in Portugal ("we", "us"). Where we handle personal information at all (see below), we are its controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It has general rules that apply to all of them, and a section for each app that says exactly what that app does with your information.
In short: our apps are built to work on your own device. We don't run accounts, we don't track you, and we don't sell or share your information. When an app connects to an online service, it is one that you choose and own (your Google account, your group's Cloudflare account), and your data goes there, not to us.
1. What we collect
From the apps: nothing, unless an app's own section below says otherwise. Our apps don't send us usage data, analytics, crash reports, contact lists, location or advertising identifiers.
When you contact us: if you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it only to answer you. We keep it only as long as needed for that, and you can ask us to delete it.
This website: it uses no cookies, analytics or advertising. Like every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) may keep short-lived server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
2. Online services you connect
Some apps can connect to an online service of yours. You decide whether to connect, you can disconnect at any time, and your use of that service is also covered by the service's own terms and privacy policy.
- Google (for example Google Drive): you sign in with your own Google account in your browser. We never see your password. The app asks Google for the narrowest permission that does the job, and stores Google's access token only on your device. You can remove an app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Cloudflare: some apps run small services on a Cloudflare account that you or your group own. The apps talk to that account directly, not through us.
3. Google user data
Wolfsbane Apps' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- Information from Google is used only to provide the feature you turned on and can see in the app (for example, backing up your saves to your Drive).
- It is never sold, never used for advertising, never used to build profiles, and never transferred to anyone else, except as needed to provide that feature, to comply with the law, or with your explicit permission.
- No person at Wolfsbane Co. reads it. It stays between your device and your Google account, and we never receive it.
- It is never used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
4. App by app
Project Prometheus (Prometheus 64)
On your device. Prometheus 64 keeps your game library list, settings, control layouts, in-game saves (with their history) and save states in folders on your computer. It never uploads, downloads or looks for game files, and it doesn't check for updates or contact us.
Google Drive backup (optional). If you click Connect Google Drive, the app asks Google for one permission, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file, which only covers files the app creates itself. It cannot see, read or change any other file in your Drive.
- It stores, in a folder called "Memories" in your Drive (in "N64" inside it):
- copies of your in-game saves;
- your save states, unless you switch that off;
- small files recording which save is newest, when it was made and on which of your computers (by the computer's name).
- It reads only those same files, so that another computer of yours can carry on from your latest save. It also reads the email address of the connected account, to show you which account is connected.
- When: when you close the app, every hour while it's open, when it starts, and when you click Back up now.
- Your Google token is kept only on your computer: in Windows Credential Manager, or on other systems in a file only your user account can read.
- Stopping: click Disconnect to sign the app out. Your files stay in your Drive until you delete them.
Online play (optional). Online games go through a small relay on the Cloudflare account of whoever set up your group, not through us.
- Setting up a group: the group's owner pastes a Cloudflare API key once, so the app can install the relay on their account. The key is used for that setup only and is not stored.
- During a game: the relay passes these between the players' apps:
- the name each player types, and the version of the app;
- controller inputs and connection timing;
- the game's name and a fingerprint of its contents, so everyone can check they have the same game;
- at the start of a game, the host's in-game save.
- The group key file (
.prometheuskey) holds the relay's address and the group's key. It's kept on your computer, and you decide who to share it with. The same file works in every Project Prometheus app.
5. Children
Our apps don't collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Your choices and rights
Because the apps keep your data on your device and in accounts you own, you control it directly. You can delete it from your device, from your Drive, or by disconnecting a service. For anything you've sent us, you can ask us to access, correct or delete it, or to stop using it. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority: in Portugal, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (cnpd.pt), or the authority where you live.
7. Security
Connections to online services use encryption (HTTPS and secure WebSockets). Sign-in tokens are kept in your operating system's protected storage where it has one. Online groups are protected by a group key. No system is perfectly secure, so keep your devices, accounts and key files safe.
8. Changes
When we add an app or change what an app does with your information, we update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect. Significant changes will also be described in the app.
