Terms of use
Wolfsbane Apps · Effective 27 October 2026
These terms apply to every app and tool published by Wolfsbane Apps, the software part of Wolfsbane Co., a company registered in Portugal ("we", "us"). By installing or using one of our apps, you agree to them. An app may add its own terms in its section below; where they differ, the app's own terms apply to that app.
1. Using our apps
Unless an app's page says otherwise, our apps are free to download and use, for personal and non-commercial use. You may install them on as many of your own devices as you like.
Open-source parts. Our apps include open-source software, and some apps are open source themselves. Each comes with its licence (for example the GNU General Public License), listed in the app and in its source code. Those licences give you rights of their own, and nothing in these terms limits them.
2. Your games, files and content
Some of our apps play or manage games and other content that you provide. Our apps don't include, sell, download, find or share games or other copyrighted content. You are responsible for having the right to use whatever you open with them.
- Only use games and other content that you own or are allowed to use, for example backups you made yourself from your own cartridges or discs, or freely distributed homebrew.
- Don't use our apps to share, download or play pirated games, and don't use them to break copy protection.
- Don't share games, system software (BIOS) or encryption keys with others through our apps or our communities.
3. Acceptable use
- Don't use our apps for anything illegal, or to harm, harass or deceive others.
- Online features: only use a group, relay or service you've been invited to. Don't try to disrupt it, overload it, or get into groups that aren't yours.
- Don't present modified copies of our apps as official, or use our names and logos in a way that suggests our endorsement.
4. Services you connect
Some features connect to services you or your group own, such as Google Drive or a Cloudflare account. Your use of them is governed by their own terms. Any costs, limits or decisions of those services are between you and them. Our apps never create paid plans for you.
5. Saves, backups and your data
Our apps are designed to protect your data. For example, Prometheus 64 keeps a history of your saves and never replaces one without keeping the other. But software and devices can fail, so keep your own backups of anything important, and keep your key files and accounts safe. See the privacy policy for what each app does with your information.
6. Names and trademarks
Wolfsbane, Wolfsbane Apps, Project Prometheus, Prometheus 64 and their logos belong to Wolfsbane Co. Other names and trademarks belong to their owners. Our apps are independent: they aren't affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any console maker, game publisher or other company whose products they work with.
7. No warranty
Our apps are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise that they will run without errors or interruptions, work with every game or device, or keep every save or file.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Wolfsbane Co. isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, saves or progress, arising from the use of our apps. For free apps, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
9. Changes and ending
We may update these terms when we add apps or features. We change the effective date above when we do, and significant changes are also described in the app. You can stop using our apps at any time by uninstalling them. If you break these terms, you may no longer use the app in question.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. If you use our apps as a consumer, you also keep the protections of the laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim there.
11. App by app
Project Prometheus (Prometheus 64)
- Prometheus 64 plays games for 64-bit consoles that you provide. It includes no games, and none are needed to install it.
- Online play: each player uses their own copy of the game; the app never sends games to other players. The person who sets up a group is responsible for their group's relay and Cloudflare account, and for who they give the group's key file to.
- Google Drive backup stores your saves in your own Google Drive, under Google's terms.
- Prometheus 64 uses an emulator core and other open-source components under their own licences, listed in the app's licences folder. The core's source code is available from its project, as described there.
