Project Prometheus
Classics, rekindled
Project Prometheus keeps classic games playable, and their saves alive, instead of letting them fade into oblivion. Its first app is Prometheus 64, a modern desktop player for the 64-bit console classics you already own.
Prometheus 64
- A sharper picture: drawn at your screen's own resolution, with HD textures and widescreen where games allow it.
- Simple controls: keyboard, mouse and controllers, with every button changeable, and up to four players on one computer.
- Online play with friends: private groups with a key file, on a relay that your group owns.
- Saves that last: every save kept with history, imports from other emulators, and optional Google Drive backup so you can carry on from another computer.
Google Drive backup
If you choose to connect Google Drive, Prometheus 64 copies your in-game saves (and, if you like, your save states) into Memories › N64 in your own Drive. It does this when you close the app and every hour while it's open. It asks Google only for permission to the files it creates itself (drive.file), so it can't see anything else in your Drive, and nothing passes through us. Details are in the privacy policy.
Your games
Prometheus 64 plays games you already own and add yourself, for example from your own cartridges. It doesn't include, download, find or share games. See the terms of use.
